    Officials are warning pet owners against the dangers of leaving their animals unattended in the heat as Savannah moves through a hotter than average summer this year. "Animal Services urges everyone to leave their pets at home during spells of intense heat," said Kerry Sirevicius, Chatham County Animal Services director.
