    The first heat wave of 2022 is expected to hit the Seattle area this weekend as temperatures could reach 90 degrees or higher, and pets are especially vulnerable in high heat.
    To help protect our furry friends, the Seattle Animal Shelter is providing the following tips to keep your pet safe when temperatures climb.
    1) Never leave your animal unattended in direct sunlight. Provide a shady area for retreat and remember shaded areas move with the sun. Provide access to cool water at all times.
